Policies and Procedures
At Heather Evans Dance Studios, the safety of our students is our greatest priority and we have several policies in place to ensure our standards are at the highest level. Please take the time to read and understand our terms and conditions.
Enrolment / Registration & Termination
A once off registration fee of $10 (for new students only) and deposit of $33 are payable upon initial enrolment which covers a trial period of 3 classes.
The balance of the remaining fees are payable on the 4th week – the deposit is deducted from the terms fees.
Existing students fees are invoiced before the commencement of each term and MUST be paid by week 1 of the commenced term.
Clients are committed for the entire term’s fees regardless of any classes missed due to sickness or absence.
When ceasing the enrolment an email must be sent to info@hedance.com.au at least 10 days prior to the next term . Failure to do so means the student is enrolled for the next term and 2 weeks of fees will be invoiced.
There are no Rebates for missed classes. Provided there is a vacancy, students can do a make-up class within the same term.
Visitor Attendance
Due to the safety of our students and the space available in our studios, parents or visitors are not welcome to watch regular classes.
If your child is in the babyballet tinies class from 18months - 3 years, one parent or guardian is required to be in the class with the child. No other people are able to be in the room as the class is taking place.
We have specific ‘Open Day’s’ throughout the year where parents and visitors are welcome to watch the students in their classes.
Photography / Videography
Photos and videos may be taken of the students to be used for promotional material. If you do not wish for your child to be used by the Heather Evans Dance Studios, please send an email requesting this to info@hedance.com.au. Heather Evans Dance Studios strives to adhere to the Royal Academy of Dance’s Policies and Procedures on Child Safety and Social Media.
Parents are welcome to photograph and video their own child when viewing a class. However, no one is permitted to video any other child. By law, no one is able to publicly post images or videos of other children without consent from the parent or guardian.
Photography or videography is not permitted during the performance days or on photo days. Professionals undertake the work- please respect that.
Child Safety - Pick Up and Drop Off
All students must be picked up and dropped off to the studio door by a parent or guardian. Heather Evans Dance Studios is responsible for the children’s safety once they enter the premises.
Students will be instructed to wait inside the studio with a teacher if their parent is late to collect their child.
Child Safety In Class
At Heather Evans Dance Studios, we work hard to continuously ensure the safety of all students. I/we realise that participation in dance classes and activities could result in some possible personal injury. Despite precautions being taken by the studio and staff, accidents and injuries may occur. By taking part in classes at Heather Evans Studios, I/we (the dancer and parent/guardian) assume all risks related to the use of any and all spaces used by Heather Evans Dance Studios.
We have policies in place to ensure there is a reasonable student/teacher ratio.
All of our teachers have their Working with Children Check and are First Aid qualified.
Physical touching of students may be required at times by teachers for correctional purposes only or if a student is injured. At Heather Evans Dance Studios we strictly adhere to the RAD Safeguard Policies.
